For our client, one of the largest Polish construction companies, we are looking for a candidate for the position of:
Director of Energy Construction (transmission)
Reporting to: Technical and Development Director (Member of the Management Board)
Location: Poland (office + site visits)
Responsibilities:
- Management of operational and strategic activities in the area of energy transmission – high and extra-high voltage lines (110–400 kV), power stations, GPZ.
- Creating and implementing strategies for acquiring and executing EPC contracts in the area of transmission. Supervision of EPC contracts, control of costs, budgets and documentation.
- Cooperation with the tendering department in the preparation of tender offers and negotiations with investors (e.g. large industrial plants, Distribution System Operators).
- Management of the team implementing contract execution processes - from the preparation phase, through execution, to the acceptance of the investment.
- Building an implementation team (contract managers/directors, project engineers) as new projects are acquired.
- Monitoring budgets, schedules and the quality of investments.
- Representing the company on the energy market, maintaining relationships with key customers and partners.
- Developing strategies and directions for development, taking into account market trends and new technologies
Requirements:
- Experience in managing projects worth over PLN 100 million.
- Experience in managing budgets, large teams and infrastructure contracts.
- Very good communication and negotiation skills.
- Higher technical education (construction, energy).
- Knowledge of English at a minimum B2 level.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the implementation of projects in the field of electricity transmission (HV/LV lines, power stations, GPZ).
- Knowledge of tender processes and the requirements of PSE and OSD.
- Ability to build and manage a project team.
- Category B driving licence, willingness to travel domestically.
- Knowledge of MS Office, knowledge of AutoCAD and Power BI welcome.
